I signed up last year for a free subscription I found on the web. Not bad for free, but I did not renew the subscription (I would have to pay this time). The magazine was ok, but really only had interesting items every few issues.

PC Magazine has a lot of good reviews, offers many helpful tips, and covers breaking technology. It's targeted a little more towards the "what will be" area of computing as opposed to PC World, which is very product-centered.
I enjoy this magazine, and am a new subcriber, but if forced to choose only one, I'd take PC World over this mag.

This magazine has to be at the top of the heap for computer enthusiasts. It gives up to date reviews and upcoming new items for all aspects of the computer world. I have read articles in this magazine from Operating systems to the latest driver upgrades to the newest hardware equipment coming out on the market. The reveiws are very indepth and very well written and tested. All in all, this magazine is good for all aspects of users, from the novice to the expert. It is a must for all users.

This magazine will aid you in your quest to become a PC guru, however it tends to be ad swayed in its reviews of products, software and hardware.

You'll learn alot from this and other PC magazines... from basic firewall configuration, to knowing how to install missing files in sub-directories you never knew existed.

Good for the PC enthusiast who want's to improve his 'skills', and for the techie who needs advanced PC info.

The info is good, the reviews tend to be weighted by advertising, so take reviews with a grain of salt and look for reviews for that particular product, software etc, elsewhere.
